From our private apartment overlooking the piazza, the Palio unfolds directly below you. As Siena gathers, the piazza fills with colour, movement, and expectation. You feel the energy rising, carried by the crowd and the history of the place, all building toward a single moment.

Then, just before the start, everything stops. The piazza falls into complete silence as the horses line up and the city holds its breath. In that stillness, centuries of tradition are felt at once. And then the silence breaks, the crowd erupts, the race surges forward, the sound returns, and the Palio explodes into life.
